Our sickle supporters make a real difference by helping us eradicate stigma and shame from sickle cell disease, whether it’s planning and coordinating an event, or running our organization smoothly behind-the-scenes.   • Main Objective: to contribute to the organization's events, projects, and other endeavours on an on-call basis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Participate in organization events and projects as scheduled

    • Assist with various tasks as assigned by the volunteer coordinator or event/project lead

    • Help with fundraising and outreach efforts

  • Main Objective: to contribute to the organization's events, projects, and other endeavours through creative media on an on-call basis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Participate in organization events and projects as scheduled

    • Assist with creative tasks as assigned by the volunteer coordinator or event/project lead

    Possess one or multiple of the following skills, and 2+ years of experience in these roles:

    • Photography

    • Videography

    • Video/photo Editing

    • Graphic Design

    • Content Creation

    • Creative directing

    • Event Management/planning

    • Decor/interior design

    • Music Production

    • Copywriting

  • Main Objective: to manage and oversee the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain the organization's budget and financial plans.

    • Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and other stakeholders.

    • Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and budgeting.

  • Main Objective: to research, write and submit grant proposals to secure funding for the organization's programs and initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and programs.

    • Write and prepare grant proposals, including narrative, budget, and other required materials.

    • Develop and maintain a calendar of grant submission deadlines.

  • Main Objective: to create and manage the organization's social media presence and create engaging content to increase awareness and engagement with the organization's mission and programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.

    • Create and schedule engaging social media content, including text, images, and videos.

    • Manage and grow the organization's social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn.

    • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
